SEASON OF LENT
Hello parents,
Today we start the Season of Lent according to the Liturgical
Calendar. What is a Liturgical Calendar? How is this calendar different than our Yearly calendar? What do the colors on the Liturgical Calendar signify?
In class we have been discussing about the meaning of Lent and its importance. We will be learning about the 40 days of Lent and why it is observed? Please talk to your children and ask about their learning at class so they can build on what they have learnt during R.E sessions.
Remember Thursday is a Special Day " Meet The Teacher" evening. Please do come by to say hello and look at your child's
learning. I think they will be excited to show you some of their learning. I'll be looking forward to meet you all tomorrow.
Thanks

Exciting two weeks of learning!
Dear Parents and Whanau,
The first two weeks of learning was very exciting and fun for the B2 community. For the year 3 students it is a new place, lots of routines and expectations. They are slowly but steadily settling in B Pod.
Our schools big focus for Term 1 is Excellence which also happens to be one of the schools values. As a community we discussed ways we could achieve excellence. We came to the conclusion that each one of us has to participate and contribute to achieve Excellence within our community.
Charism : What does it mean and how did Our Patron saint Mary Mackillop display Charism in her life? What Legacy has she left behind for us to carry on?
The Treaty of Waitangi: We have been learning about the Treaty and its importance.
