It's that time of the Term Student Led Conferences at St. Mary Mackillop School on the 29th and the 30th of March. Would like to thank all the Parents who have already booked for the Conferences as a result of which B2 students have bagged themselves an Ice-Block from Mr. Piper, our Principal.
I would look forward to meeting all the 28 parents which would help us get the 100% as required to be able for the students to enjoy the Pizzas as promised by Mr. Piper.

So, Please come along with your child as they would love to share their learning with you and make you feel proud.

See you all there,

Thanks
Mrs.Joseph

St.Mary Mackillop Catholic School celebrated St.Patrick's Feast by fun raising to support Caritas NZ.

B2 students learnt all about St. Patrick. Some of the questions we looked were:

  • Who is St. Patrick?
  • Where was he born?
  • What happened to him when he was young?
  • When did he become a priest?
  • Why is he called the Patron saint of Ireland?
  • How did St. Patrick teach the the Celtic Pagans about the Holy Trinity?
  • B2 took this opportunity and designed their own Shamrocks to understand that the Holy Trinity is three persons but one God just as the leaves of the Shamrock used by St. Patrick.
  • Have a look at our Shamrocks.

Lent is a time of change. In B2 we have been learning about change. We have understood how change is important to us.The students have Home work to bring in tomorrow about the changes they see in nature.

I can't wait to see them.

Hello families,we have been learning to write Shape Poems. To make it even more interesting we used alliterations. Here are a few of our poems.
